New theme launched

After grueling for about 2 weeks on a custom theme for my blog, I’m proud to announce that I’ve finally launched it; with the CSS powered by Tailwind CSS.

This theme is, as I would call, a “remix” of the Cocoa theme by nishanths. I’ve completely dismantled it and turned it to something else.

At first, I was hesitant to merge it with the main repo because the CSS is failing in staging but when it was finally merged, everything went as expected.

There’s still rooms for improvement for the theme. Google Lighthouse didn’t score it big but at least it’s a great start.

As a newbie, the learning curve is very, very steep especially with Tailwind CSS but, as they say, the more you work with the framework, the more you familiarize yourself with the quirks of it.

Of course, there are a lot of tutorials and articles out there regarding Tailwind CSS and it was a great help as well.

I’m currently working on improving the theme as I wanted to improve my Lighthouse scores. I’m also working on creating themes from different CSS frameworks. But for now, self-improvement first!
