What is in this 2 games? They are the best in modern PC games. They are crazed by thousands of gamers around the world. But gamers, student and even ethusiast are arguing what is the best of that 2 games. They say DotA is the best but others say no one can beat Counter-Strike (and I’m one of those who said Counter-Strike is the best). So, I decided to make an article about this 2 game.
What is Counter-Strike?
Counter-Strike commonly abbreviated to CS is a tactical first-person shooter video game which originated from a Half-Life modification by Minh “Gooseman” Le and Jess “Cliffe” Cliffe. The game has been expanded into a series since its original release, which currently includes Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Source and many more.
Counter-Strike pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won by either completing the mission objective or elimiating the opposing force. The latest incarnation of the game, Counter-Strike: Source, is based on the Source engine developed for Half-Life 2.
The game is almost entirely based on the dynamically streamlined multiplayer experience activated via Steam, and is the most played Half-Life mod as of February 28, 2007 according to GameSpy.

What is DotA (Defense of the Ancients)
Defense of the Ancients often referred to as DotA is a custom scenario for Warcraft: III: The Frozen Throne, based on the “Aeon of Strife” map for Starcraft. The objective of the scenario is to destroy the opponents’ “Ancient”, a heavily guarded strcuture in each corner of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called “creeps”. As in role playing games, players level up their hero and use gold to buy equipment during the mission.
The scenario was developed with the World Editor of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and was updated upon the release of The Frozen Throne. There have been many variations of the original concept, the most popular of which is DotA Allstars, which has been maintained by several authors during development.

The verdict
My verdict between these 2 games is I can’t blame whether you like Counter-Strike or DotA because the 2 of them are a modification. Namely, Half-Life for Counter-Strike and Warcraft III for DotA. The difference is, DotA is a map and Counter-Strike, from its predecesor until now is a program. One thing is for sure, no game can beat the reign of Counter-Strike. From 1998 until now. Counter-Strike is there.
